| How do you guys feel about mucking/showing? Should we even ever show? Or is it stronger to always muck? | |

| if you muck your opponent will never know what you had and it might piss him of and effect his game same as showing a bluff at the right time. but in tight bubbles were you get a streak of good hands that you have to go all in with I will sometimes show to make sure they don't think im tilting and to keep my tight image | |

| Why would it be bad for you if they though you where tilting? Then they would call with worse hands, so you can win... I think that never showing is the best to do, I try and only show if someone asks for it... | |

| some times it can be handy to show your hand, if you make a nice bluff it can set off the other player. if you play the same way a lil later and then show the winning hand, players cant make reads on your betting patterns. also if you show semi strong hands that ended up winning the other player smight think youre an over social rookie.... that way you can wheel em in like a fisherman.... so to show sometimes can be very usefull depending on your overal strategy, gamestyle and skill. but if you dont play with a psychological point of view its probably best for you to allways muck. | |

| In games with a high 'donk-factor', i always muck my cards. Showing your cards can only be in your advantage if the other one knows how to 'read it'. And like Sam said, in a streak where i keep buying/taking pots, i usually show one of my good hands. That way, my table image will be in my favor - people will think that a raise from me, needs to be taken seriously. Which makes it easier to bluff your lesser hands and to buy information. You can still buy your info for the same price as before, but with your table image of 'only playing good hands' semi-hands are more likely to fold. | |

| I usually always muck my hands so that the other players at the table don't get a read on how I play my hands. If I show them my hand, and I play like that another hand, they will probably remember my moves. The only time I don't muck is when I have a really good hand like a Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four of A Kind, etc. Just really good hands that are really strong I show. | |

| Yea i know its fun to show really good hands... But It doesnt really make any sense... If you dont want someone to make a read, you shouldn't show even the really good hands, because they know how you played it... Am in wrong? Its hard not to show, but i tend to try and muck those hands to... | |

| Well I just like showing my good hands because I know I probably wasn't going to lose and I won't get hands like that probably even once every game so they cant really make a read on me. | |

I know how it feels, I show them sometimes to... But im still confused about showing bluffs, I sometimes do show one, so that later on I might get called easyer, but it does also work against me when I try and steal an other pot....

And that's why (in a winning streak,) i only show my good hands - i don't want the reputation of being a bluffer, because it makes stealing more difficult...

| I'm sure there are times when showing is a good thing...I just can't be bothered with it. I keep the auto muck on and never even consider showing. | |

| Since I started this topic I decided never to show until I can be positive it works in my favor. I never used the "auto-muck" option before in my life, but its really helping me out right now. Sometimes i do show when people ask me, because its really hard sometimes not knowing what you folded to. If someone shows me when I ask them, I return the favor when asked ;-) Bottom line, ill try and muck everything i can for now | |

| I never show....never..never. BUT some opps seem to know when to show for max effect. I quess it's more art than science. I always use the auto-muck. | |

| I know I should never show but I can't help myself at times. It's gamesmanship and it livens up the game and re-energises the table.Everything I've read about never showing makes perfect sense to me but I love to play on a tilty over aggressive table and sometimes this type of gamesmanship can help do that. | |

| I usually muck but I do tend to show when Im small blind or just b4 small blind stealing the blinds when they get big and I actually have a good hand....for instance raise really big and then show my AK KK to the blinds to let them know Im not playin. In my mind this allows me to steal the blinds more as the game persists with my 2 7 off since they may remember my good hands and not wanna mess with me.....Thats my mindset at least lol if it makes any sense. I usually muck for the most part though. | |

| mucking and showing both have their upsides and downsides... each player also has his or her own style of play, mucking and showing can be used for multiple reasons... just have to find a nice balance between the two ...
i only show if the pot is big enough.. if i had a strong hand or a good bluff... if the pot is big enough.. its nice to show... just to piss the other players off hahahaha
